The windows of our cosy rooms at Agriturism Podere Montaione open onto one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tuscany. Wake up each morning to the chirping of birds and a view that stretches to the horizon, then have breakfast with fresh local produce before starting your day and exploring the surroundings of Volterra, or relax by the pool. The landscape changes with each season from the warm tones of summer to the golden hues of autumn.
The double and twin rooms with views of the hills are furnished with care and attention to detail, designed to reflect the traditional Tuscan style by combining a country touch with modern comfort. The wooden furniture, beamed ceilings and terracotta floors reflect the old Tuscan farmhouses.
Four spacious rooms with large private bathrooms are available for guests who wish to relax for a few days, with an overnight stay and breakfast buffet. The rooms are located on the ground floor for those who wish to have a direct view of the outdoor area or on the first floor of the building. The atmosphere is convivial and all guests have access to the large surrounding area for walks among the olive trees, in the woods or relaxing in the shade of centuries-old oaks.
The rooms are named after a female Etruscan divinity, a tribute to the area and to free and emancipated Etruscan women.
Comfort is the hallmark of all the rooms; the thick stone and straw walls guarantee perfect thermal and acoustic insulation.
